Character
Golden yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, floral notes of violets and white flowers, citrus and spicy hints of laurel and clove, along with fine smoky notes from twelve months of aging in French oak. On the palate, full-bodied, rich and enveloping, balanced and elegant, with notes of nuts — almond —, clove and white flowers.
Vinification
Viognier (100%) from the Ses Marjades vineyard in the Serra de Tramuntana, 17-year-old vines, low yield (5,200 kg/ha). The wine is aged for two months with bâtonnage, followed by four months of static aging on fine lees, and a total of twelve months in French oak barrels. This results in a full-bodied, smooth, and harmonious wine that reflects the character of the Tramuntana.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with Mediterranean cuisine, pâtés, white meat, nuts, rice dishes, and grilled or sauced fish.
