Mallorca. Direct. Personal.
Sometimes there are places that simply never let go of you. For us, Mallorca is exactly that kind of place — and Gourmet Mallorca was born from that connection.
What started as a chapter became a deep connection.
Our story on the island began more than ten years ago. Laura moved to Palma to study International Business Management, and Miguel came with her — originally just for a while. But what started as a temporary chapter quickly became a deep connection that still shapes our lives today.
Mallorca soon became much more than a beautiful destination for us. It was the warm summer evenings in small villages, the conversations with winemakers among ancient vines, the simple Pa amb Oli with good olive oil and Flor de Sal, the long nights shared with friends, wine, and Mediterranean ease. Since then, we have returned again and again — today we even have a small second home on the island.
Why not share exactly what we love so much ourselves?
The idea had been in our minds for many years. Wherever we travel — Italy, France, Portugal, Greece, South Africa, or California — we always discover a country through its food and wine. Through small wineries. Through local producers. Through people who create something special with passion and craftsmanship. With Gourmet Mallorca, we share exactly that.
Mallorca is more than a holiday.
With more than 120 wineries on Mallorca today, making the right selection has become more important than ever. Small bodegas, indigenous grape varieties, winemakers with conviction — most of it stays on the island or passes through so many hands that nobody knows where it came from.
Between Dusseldorf and Mallorca, we have learned to connect two worlds. The Manto Negro variety is the backbone of many red wines, Premsal and Giro Ros the most interesting white wine grapes. Then there are rare indigenous varieties like Callet, Escursac and Gorgollassa that hardly anyone outside the island knows.
That is exactly what makes them so special. And that is exactly why we are here. We're glad you're here. — Laura & Miguel
