Ses Talaioles' uncomplicated everyday red: fresh, vibrant, and mineral, with an elegant tannin structure. A cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Tempranillo, half of which is aged in large wooden barrels.
Character
Ruby red with violet reflections at the rim. On the nose, dried plum, sweet vanilla and fennel seeds, stewed fruit and a hint of cocoa powder. Fresh and lively on the palate, with fresh plum, cocoa and spices, a minerality reminiscent of limestone, and elegant tannins.
Vinification
Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (28%), Syrah (23%), and Tempranillo (4%), hand-picked. Gentle, biodiversity-promoting soil cultivation; the harvested grapes are chilled for up to twelve hours. Fermentation without added sulfur using non-Saccharomyces yeasts in stainless steel tanks, extended maceration for seven days, followed by malolactic fermentation. Matured for twelve months, half in 3,000-liter wooden barrels and half in stainless steel tanks.
