A red wine made from Manto Negro, Merlot, and Syrah from Bodega Ca Sa Padrina, grown on the red clay soils inland of Mallorca. Each variety is matured separately before the wine is aged for eight months in French oak. This gives it a soft structure and juicy, ripe fruit. An approachable red for everyday enjoyment.
Character
A dark red with ripe fruit. A juicy, approachable red with a soft structure and the depth of barrel aging. Balanced and appetizing.
Vinification
A cuvée of Manto Negro, Merlot, and Syrah from the Mallorcan interior near Sencelles, grown predominantly on the red clay soil of Call Vermell. The grapes are harvested by hand into crates. Each variety and parcel is fermented separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine matures for eight months in 500-liter French oak barrels.
Food Pairing
A versatile red wine for hearty cuisine. It pairs well with grilled meat, stews, pasta, and aged cheese. Serve lightly chilled.
