Red wine cuvée from Vins Nadal made from Manto Negro, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Callet. Aged for 20 months in American and French oak. Black fruit and liqueur fruit meet vanilla, tobacco and chocolate. Dry, full-bodied, velvety, with a long finish.
Character
Ruby red with a garnet shimmer, clear and bright. Intense on the nose, with black fruit and liqueur fruit typical of Manto Negro, plus vanilla, caramel, tobacco and a hint of smoke. Dry, full and velvety on the palate, with balanced acidity and a finish of black fruit, vanilla and chocolate.
Vinification
A cuvée of Manto Negro, Mallorca's indigenous red grape variety, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Callet. The wine matured for 20 months in American and French oak barrels. This long barrel aging gives it its full, velvety structure and aromas of vanilla, tobacco, and chocolate. A wine from the D.O. Binissalem, where island varieties meet international grape varieties.
Food Pairing
A wine for hearty meat dishes. It pairs well with grilled entrecôte or rack of lamb, as well as with braised game or roast beef. It also cuts a good figure with mature hard cheese. Decant before serving.
